Chinese New Year 2010 came at a time when our family was preparing to move out of Spottiswoode Apartments. We didn't do much visiting. Instead, we stayed at home to finishing up packing before the end-of-the-month deadline.
I don't even have curtains in my living room when my uni classmates came over to visit!

This happened over dinner a few weeks ago.
Mum : Every Chinese New Year we give them (referring to my sis and I) cash in red packets. And we end up having to deposit the cash for them.
Dad : Give me all your bank account numbers. Wrong number, no money.
This year we are going paperless.

Had our reunion dinner at Banana Leaf Restaurant near KK Hospital.
Headed down to Padang to watch the fireworks with Jessie and Pang before midnight.
After which, we joined Jessie's mum at Waterloo Street to pray at the temple.
I told God that success wasn't important at all. I prayed for peace, and that everyone around me would stay healthy. And that includes you too.
Last year, we sat by the side of Kallang river, watching the fireworks and drinking beer. We ended up having a hellova time flagging for a cab after we finished our supper at Little India. This year we decided to put in a little more effort in our celebrations, and throw a BBQ at Horizon Towers.
The food was fantastic.
Big thank you to all who attended :
Jessie
Pang
Waikian
Wenbin
Trisha
Elgene
Carol
Michelle
Robert
Jason
Even bigger thanks to Robert, who took great pains not only to book the chalet, but to answer to the security guard after residents complained that we were too noisy.

After the BBQ, which was abruptly ended by the security guards at 11:00 p.m., we headed up to Robert's place to continue drinking.

This was Waikian before the drinks.

Thirsty, Thirsty! So I fed him more alcohol.

Fantastic shade of red afterwards.

We both reached Singapore at 9:45pm, rushed to 7-11 to get some gifts, Jessie wrapped them up, dropped all our luggage over at my place, and we drove full speed down to Pang's place.
Reached there at 11p.m, by that time Puang, Elgene and his girlfriend Carol have already left :(
Pang, thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to prepare the food, and being thoughtful enough to leave some behind for us.

(Waikian trying to hide his face, as usual)
We had a gift exchange later on and we had a lot of toys to play with.
There was even a remote controlled UFO which we used to cut Waikian's hair.
